Iran’s ‘The Mask’ is to compete at the Los Angeles Int’l Children’s filmfest in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘The Mask’ has been selected to compete at the 16th edition of the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival (LAICFF) in the US.

Directed by Saba Qasemi, a tagline of the 6-minute film reads, “I don’t think the adults can see anything the right way from behind their masks”.

The cast list of the short flick includes Sarvin Sanati, Sima Sheybani, and Mirhossein Nounchi.

‘The Mask’ was previously screened at the Riga International Short Film Festival in Latvia, the Emerging Lens Cultural Film Festival in Canada, and the KIDS First! Film Festival in the US.

The LAICFF is an annual festival featuring short live-action, animation, and documentaries for toddlers through teens.

Every year, the festival hosts almost 100 shorts from around the world.

The 2022 edition of the event is scheduled for April 1–May 31.
